Establishing a national German Decade Committee
A German Decade Committee was established to coordinate the implementation of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development in Germany. After a corresponding call for self-nominations to all partners relevant for the decade, the members of the committee were picked by a selection committee at the end of September. Dr Simon Jungblut, in his function as ICYMARE Organizer, was selected as one of the NGO members of the committee. A first meeting took place on Friday, 23 October 2020.
